Packaging & Preshipping Inspection
We recognise the safety, health, environment, social, legal and ethical impacts of all supply and procurement decisions, and will involve our suppliers in addressing issues that may arise. We expect our suppliers to assist us in minimising any negative effects and neutralising any risks.
Before the Packaging of the products, one of our own staff will visit the factory and follow a strict quality inspection process to ensure the goods meet all required standards. This comprehensive document ensures every quality point is checked prior to CompuFocus signing off the consignment as ready to ship.
On successful inspection of the goods, payment will be made to the factory and the goods moved on to our logistics department for dispatch.
After manufacturing, goods are quality checked by our staff and then handed over to the logistics team to move them on. We have our own warehouse facility on the outskirts of Shanghai where we can move goods to for collection or consolidation of goods if we are shipping more than one product in your container.
For longer lead time projects, the cheapest and safest way to ship is by sea. This can be by "less than a container load" (LCL) or "full container load" (FCL). FCL shipment can be in one of three sizes of container which include a 20ft, 40ft standard and a 40ft high cube, each increasing in capacity.
We can ship goods to any major port around the world and manage the entire supply chain on your behalf. This is especially useful when a successful product goes global and our clients want to concentrate on sales while not worrying about managing their supply chain.
Within the UK and Europe, CompuFocus can receive the air or sea shipments and manage the goods through customs clearance, duties and onward shipment of those goods directly to your or that of your customer’s door. Our team will ensure that the goods meet all the specific requirements for packing. For example, many larger organisations may require certain pallet sizes, maximum heights and possibly a timed delivery of those goods.
CompuFocus manages everything to get your goods from the factory floor in China – right to your door.
You no longer need to worry about customs clearance, tax, insurance, duty, import permits and quarantine. No more paperwork, no need to arrange your own marine cargo insurance.
We can export FCL (full container load) and LCL (less than container load) to most major ports in the world using China Shipping or other major shipping lines. We arrange the entire process from exporting your goods from China to delivering to your door.
Will You be Stung by Nasty Fees when Your Goods Arrive?
For any of you who have 'dabbled' in importing goods before, you may have found that once your goods arrived, you got a nasty surprise when you were invoiced for the import fees.
Unfortunately many people pay too much when they're importing. Yes there are essential costs such as tax and duty. However all the other charges: freight, paperwork, document handling, port charges, customs clearance and transport are often charged at higher rates than they should be.
At CompuFocus we look after our Clients interests not just with exporting but the entire import process right up to getting your goods to your door. You will find all the fees are the cheapest possible rates due to the volume we bring in and we are very transparent about these charges from the outset.
We don't put shipping prices on our website as they change regularly, and the total cost depends on the specifics of your order. However, you can fill in our enquiry form and we'll happily give you a quote.
Warning!Factories will often quote you freight prices – which don’t include all the costs at YOUR end. Things like customs clearance, port and handling, trucking from the port, GST, quarantine fees etc.
So you get an artificially low figure and a nasty surprise when your goods arrive. Make sure you are being quoted on the FULL cost – not just part of the cost.
